How often do the classes meet?
Classes are held once per week for 10 consecutive weeks.
How long is each class session?
Each class session lasts approximately two hours. The first hour consists of financial teaching by Dave Ramsey via video. The second hour consists of small groups. The small group discussions will allow you to apply the principles to your daily life. The group's members will help to hold each other accountable and support each other during the process of transforming each person's finances and future. The small group discussions are crucial because when it come to personal finances, it's 80 percent behavior and 20 percent knowledge!
What is the average size of the class?
We have room for 400 of your closest friends.
What happens if I miss one class - can I make it up?
You could check with your coordinator about the possibility of make-up sessions or borrowing the DVD.
How many classes do I need to attend in order to graduate?
No requirement... the more classes you attend, the more great info you learn. The first six classes would all be good to attend because they hold the core info that will change your life.
What are the subjects covered in each lesson?
1) "Super Savers" teaches the importance of saving money and how to get the best return on your money.

2) "Cash Flow Planning" will teach you step-by-step how to put together a zero-based monthly budget and walk you through how to complete all of the financial management forms with samples included.

3) "Relating with Money" is about the importance of working together in relationships and how we handle money.

4) "Buying Only Big, Big Bargains" teaches us Dave's personal techniques on how to negotiate and get the very best deals when buying something.

5) "Dumping Debt" teaches how to get out of debt and stay out of debt.

6) "Understanding Investments" teaches the difference between stocks, bonds, mutual funds, CDs, annuities, and where we can get the very best return on our hard-earned money.

7) "Understanding Insurance" will help you learn the types of coverages you need when it comes to health insurance, homeowner and car insurance, life insurance, and disability insurance.

8) "Retirement and College Planning" teaches about the new Roth IRA, about how much to put into your SEPP and 401(k) or 403(B) plans, and how to best fund your child's college education.

9) "Buyer Beware" warns us about how we are being marketed to and teaches us the keys to developing the power over purchases.

10) "Real Estate and Mortgages" will teach you the best way to buy and sell a house and the difference between a 15- and 30-year mortgage plus the best ways to finance a home.

11) "Careers and Extra Jobs" teaches the importance of doing with your life that which you love.

12) "Collection Practice and Credit Bureaus" teaches you how to check and clean up our credit report and deal with collection agencies.

13) "The Great Misunderstanding" will teach you the importance of being a good manager over the blessings you have been given and to share them.

When will the first class start?
The first class session will be Monday September 21st at Celebration Community Church. We will go over the orientation and the first lesson on that night.
